Digital Contractor Pass - New and Important Information

As MWC Barcelona return for another in-person event in 2022, the health and safety of staff, workers, exhibitors, visitors, suppliers, partner, and the local community, remain the number on priority'

The health protocols to access the venue are such that all personnel must provide valid proof of vaccination/ recovery or a negative test for COVID-19. Please check the Build up & Dismantling Accreditation section for further information

The Digital Contractor Pass is an easy, and free of charge, way for all contractor and drivers to arrive at the venue pre-registered and fully validated, so that they can be fast-tracked through the process and easily enter the venue.

We appreciate that many haulage companies will not have advance visibility on which drivers will be arriving with their cargo, in this instance we suggest to pre-register a pool of drivers who are likely to arrive so that they can all be pre-validated. This way the driver who does arrive will be unhindered and will be able to access the venue on schedule. The is no limit to how many drivers can be pre-registered and pre-validated through the ‘service provider’ system.

Drivers can easily be registered in bulk or individually by the ‘exhibitor contractor’ through their service provider account. Alternatively, haulage companies can be set up with their own service provider account by RESA, so that they can bulk register their own drivers. There are short video tutorials and instructions on how to use the system in the Build up & Dismantling Accreditation section.

For drivers who arrive unregistered or who have not validated their Digital Contractor Pass, there will be onsite assistance however the process will take longer and will involve some costs.

Registration – drivers who arrive unregistered will be charged an additional €8 on top of the normal €12 vehicle registration fee, costing €20 in total for both vehicle and driver registration.

Testing – drivers who arrive without any health verification documents will be able to purchase a rapid antigen test service performed by our medical partner Quirónprevención for €25.

As a reminder, pre-registration and pre-validation is free of charge and the fastest way to process.
