Welcome to the Partner Programme section of the Online Event Manual. This page is only for managing your Partner Programme. To manage your exhibition stand, visit the My Event tab. If you have any questions, please reach out to your MWC Shanghai Team for assistance.

Please note the information contained herein is provisional and subject to change if required for Health and Safety reasons by the Venue or a Governmental Body. Any change shall be notified to the partner as soon as reasonably possible.

Your Events Programme Manager will liaise with you to ensure that you are included in the GSMA MWC Shanghai, Marketing, PR, and Social Media plans.

Social Media
Social media post (ROW) - GSMA Social Media team will draft appropriate posts for you.

Social media post (CN) - GSMA Social Media team will re-post your posts on WeChat.  Please add GSMA official WeChat account to your whitelist before re-posting (Up to 2 posts)
Work with your Events Programme Manager to determine posts and opportunity.

Marketing Tool Kit

These marketing assets can assist you with the promotion of your programme. You may find the MWC Shanghai 2022 logo at www.mwcshanghai.com. To further assist you, your Events Programme Manager will provide you with a copy of the MWC21 Shanghai Post Event Report. This report will provide the demographics you will want to know from our previous event to help you shape marketing efforts.


Industry News on MWC Shanghai Website

You may share your Industry news on News section of the MWC Shanghai website: www.mwcshanghai.com/about/news/. Additional detail will be provided by your Events Programme Manager at your kick off call.


MWC Shanghai Event Marketing Plan

You will be included in the Event Marketing plan for the event. Creative, content, channels, frequency, and timing will be determined by GSMA. You Programme Manager will advise you of the details for inclusion. 

Pre-Registered Press & Analyst List

Available to you is the list of Pre-Registered Press & Analyst List that will be attending MWC Shanghai 2022. You may use this list to invite any press or analysts that you would like to have attend your event. The Pre-registered Press & Analyst List will be available 2 weeks prior to the event (Exact date TBC).


MWC Shanghai Social Media

The GSMA has various social media channels to promote MWC Shanghai: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and for our Asia partners we have Weibo, WeChat and Toutiao. In all Partner Programme contracts, the GSMA social media team commits to distribute one social media statement across ROW social mediachannels and re-post two social media posts on China social media channels. Additional detail with be provided by your Events Programme Manager.


MWC Shanghai Virtual Event Guide

Virtual event guide includes activities that are happening at MWC Shanghai. This is new to MWC Shanghai 2021. Partner’s logo will be included in the event guide with hyperlink to the Partner Programmes Agenda page on MWC Shanghai website. Deadline will be communicated at the kick off call.


New Web Page Request and Changes

New for 2022

All website requests will be made via your Online Event Manaual (OEM)

In 2022, each Partner Programme’s webpage will be directly linked to the MWC Shanghai 2022 web agenda. The content will be synced across the web and app for a consistent and uniform user experience. This will allow us to update web content quickly.

The main Partner Programme web page will have every company logo, session date & time, and theatre location. See the example below. Elements of this design are subject to change for 2022.

Your programme’s individual page will include:

  • Session Title
  • Logo
  • Date, time and location
  • Description
    • No text limit, but consider that this will be viewed on mobile devices also
    • Option to include an agenda
    • Can include hyperlinks
  • Speaker photos, with links to bios
During your kick-off call and subsequent status calls, you and your Events Programme Manager will discuss what content you want on your web page and guide you on how to create an effective page for the event web site and app.
